Book Advance Request Form

This form allows students who have a credit (negative balance) on their account due to expected financial aid to request funding be applied to their Simmons ID Card to use at the Simmons Bookstore.

Undergraduate students (including CompleteDegree online) and campus-based graduate students (including LIS online & Nutrition online) can request book vouchers starting 2 weeks before the term starts and ending 2 weeks after the term starts.

All @Simmons online graduate students can request book vouchers starting 3 weeks before the term starts and ending 2 weeks after the term starts.

Please note you can only make one Book Advance Request per semester. Please see the Book Advance Policy below for more details.

A physical copy of your Simmons ID Card is required to request Book Advance Funding. The 7-digit number on your card is your Simmons ID number. The Simmons Bookstore will use the 16-digit number to use the funds like a card payment.

Federal Student Loans cannot disburse to Simmons without a complete MPN and Entrance Counseling.

A physical copy of your Simmons ID Card is required to use Book Advance funding at the Simmons Bookstore as the Bookstore will use the 16-digit number to use the funds.
Book Advance Policy:

I understand that this Book Advance voucher will enable me to add value to my student ID for the purchase of required course materials through the Simmons Bookstore website. The total amount of this voucher will be charged against my Simmons University student account.

If I do not spend the entire advance at the bookstore, the remaining value will remain on my student ID for future use at the bookstore. If there are any advanced funds remaining on my ID card at the time of my graduation or withdrawal from Simmons University, that remaining amount will be refunded back to me.

I also understand that if there are any changes to my financial aid based on a change of enrollment or withdrawal from the term, I am responsible for returning the advanced funds to my student account.

I also understand that I am permitted one book advance request per term and that I will not have the chance of requesting a second advance if the initial amount I requested was not sufficient.
